Cataract is the leading cause of blindness in the world. It is easily diagnosed, and some 80 % of the cases leading to blindness are treatable. With only 50 Swiss Fr you can restore the vision of an individual affected by cataract and therefore enable him/her to continue with his/her work or education. Hence, Project Vision helps people to help themselves.

Project Vision works closely with native health care staff. It recognizes the uniqueness of local conditions and avoids pure "outsider implementation." All money raised is directly channeled into cataract surgeries performed by local, skilled staff, in well established health care structures.
